I’m Vero! Comedian, writer, cartoonist, filmmaker, and layabout from St. John’s, NL.
I started doing stand-up comedy in 2013. I have headlined at the Braxton Comedy Festival, been a finalist at Last Comic Standing NL, and performed with comedy legends like Mary Walsh. In 2021, I recorded with JFL Originals for the comedy album Infinity Plus Pizza, which was named after my joke. So that’s pretty sweet.
I have written for CBC.ca, Cracked.com, and Riddle Fence Magazine. My work has been part of the Nickel Independent Film Festival, the Women’s Work Festival, the St. John’s Shorts Festival, the Halifax Animation Festival, FogFest, NL Sketch Fest, and others. I self-publish comics online on my blog; my comic-book memoir “I Kill Myself: Alive Comedy Show” is coming out at some point.
