This month, our featured guest is Todd Butt. Todd produces the monthly Comedy at Ninepenny.

Some highlights:

Pair up with one or two other comedians – it breaks up the workload
Material matters. You may love a comedian’s style personally, but you sometimes have to consider if their work is appropriate for the show you are selling
If you know someone is in your town and you want them on your show, shoot your shot and ask them! It doesn’t hurt to ask. Be upfront about what your show is, but you will be surprised – visiting comics love meeting local comics, it’s an opportunity to build a connection
